Résumé : La France a historiquement joué un rôle majeur dans le combat juridique visant à soutenir la juste application par les États du Droit international public, tout particulièrement en ce qui concerne la résolution du conflit israélo-arabe. La position française est toujours restée la même (colonisation inadmissible, création d’un État palestinien viable, reprise du processus de paix) mais son effacement au Moyen-Orient – au profit des USA – ainsi que son alignement sur la vision anglo-américaine ont contribué à déséquilibrer la situation au profit d’Israël. Cet effacement international de la France représente une grande perte pour l’équilibre stratégique et humanitaire mondial.

THE POLICY OF FRANCE IN PALESTINE
Abstract: Historically, France has played a major role in the legal fight aiming to support the fair application of Public international law by the states, especially concerning the resolution of the Israeli-Arab conflict. The French position has always remained the same (colonization is unacceptable, creation of a viable Palestinian state, resumption of the peace process) but its erasing in the Middle East – for the benefit of the USA – and its alignment on the Anglo-American vision of the world, have contributed widely to unbalance the situation in favor of Israel. This international erasing of France represents a big loss for the strategic and humanitarian global equilibrium.
